Photo Essay: Our epic journey to the altiplano and Salar de Uyuni Part 2

AltiplanoOur driver promised to take us to Laguna Colorada in the morning again as we didn’t have enough time enjoying the scenery the previous evening. The view in the morning as mesmerizing as it was in the evening.

Our next stop, Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree) was an interesting rock formation and its name is given due to the resemblance of a tree.

AltiplanoAfter passing along some colorful hills of the Altiplano, we were back to visiting more lagoons and spent the rest of the day soaking in the beauty this varied landscape has to offer.

We stayed at the Salt Hotel near the small town of San Juan for our second night and everything was made of salt. Yes, everything!  The bed, the chairs and tables, the walls, you name it… It was cosy and warm and a good night’s sleep was had by all…
